Let me take this moment to celebrate having finished my Christmas present shopping! However, the next big task.. Gift wrapping. I adore seeing beautifully wrapped presents under the tree. There is something special about all the unique ways to adorn them while building anticipation about what lies below the surface of the wrapping. Getting them all ready can be quite the feat!
The other day, I thought it would be fun to host a wrapping party. I imagined that everyone would bring wrapping necessities and their presents, then we'd keep each other company while sharing the materials, listening to music, and sipping on holiday inspired drinks. Unfortunately, this year my travel schedule will make it next to impossible to host. So instead I've been gathering ideas to file away for next year!
After a little bit of looking online, it is clear that others are hosting similar events!
When hosting a wrapping party:
Have supplies to spare - wrapping paper, scissors, tape, twine, ribbon, the works!
Set the mood - holiday inspired treats and drinks {I am loving all the mulled wine} accompanied by music {such as Michael Buble's Christmas album, the Nutcracker, Elvis's Christmas album} or a movie {Love Actually, The Holiday, Elf}
Honestly, with the warm company of friends and the fun activity, it is bound to be a stellar time!
See this wrap party for great photos.

Aww! Those marshmallow treats look delicious!
I haven't because I have my own tradition: Me, Elf, and three huge bins of wrapping gear. And a few cookies in hand.
